FAQ
What are facing bricks?
Cladding bricks are thin decorative wall coverings that give walls the appearance of brick. Unlike paint or wallpaper, cladding bricks add relief to walls, making it easy to personalize your living environment. Cladding panels can be made of natural stone, plaster, terracotta, reconstituted stone, etc. They are available in a range of colors and styles, and offer a wide choice of visual effects.
Where can brick cladding be installed?
Cladding bricks can be installed both indoors and outdoors. They’re ideal for cladding facades, but can also be used indoors to add a decorative touch and create the perfect atmosphere. Cladding bricks can also be used to decorate outdoor features such as low walls, planters, ponds, etc. Consult our Resources Center to find out more about permissible installation surfaces.
What are the advantages of cladding panels?
Their thin thickness makes facing bricks easier to lay than clay bricks, and they generally represent a lower budget.
They can therefore be easily adapted to both new-build and renovation projects, with a warm, authentic look.
When it comes to facing bricks, reconstituted brick offers a number of advantages: relatively thin and light, it can be installed both indoors and outdoors, while offering highly realistic textures and shades.
Which style of facing brick to choose?
There are several ranges of brick cladding panels to choose from, so there’s something for everyone: textures and shades to give life to many different atmospheres.
Depending on the style of your living environment and the aesthetic effect you’re looking for, you can opt for more vintage cladding, or more modern brickwork.

How to install and maintain cladding panels?
Our facing bricks are laid indoors using a single-glue technique, and outdoors using a double-glue technique: the wall must be coated with mortar-glue, and the backs of the facing bricks must be buttered.
They must then be grouted after installation.
If you’re a do-it-yourselfer, you can carry out the installation yourself, using the many technical tips on our site to guide you.
For exterior use or in damp rooms (bathrooms, kitchens), we recommend waterproofing the cladding panels for greater durability (this should be repeated every 5 years or so).
On the other hand, no special maintenance is required for cladding installed indoors.
