In Hyères-les-Palmiers, architect André Rossello made facing stone the central theme of a new 85-unit residential complex to be completed in 2024 by Promogim Var. Featuring ORSOL’s Rocky Mountain collection in the Havana shade, the building’s entrances gain character, and the structure blends seamlessly into the heart of the city.
A Housing Project in the Heart of Hyères
In 2024, the Promogim Var teams delivered 60 homes for open-market sale. They also handed over 25 public housing units to their partner, Grand Delta Habitat.
The location is no small matter. Hyères is a popular seaside resort that enjoys about 300 days of sunshine a year and a highly sought-after lifestyle. The city is also at the heart of a dynamic economic region, with a full range of shops, schools, and transportation options.
In this context, a new residential development must find its place in the urban landscape. It must also meet the expectations of discerning future residents.
An Architectural Proposal Focused on the Facades
André Rossello runs his architecture firm in Hyères-les-Palmiers. For this project, the developer Promogim selected his proposal, which emphasized architectural quality and the enhancement of the residence’s facades.
The architect’s goal was clear: to add character to the project. To achieve this, he chose to combine ORSOL’s Rocky Mountain facing stone with other facade materials. This interplay of materials breaks up the monotony of a multi-family housing complex and creates visual focal points.

Rocky Mountain Havane to highlight the entrances
The Rocky Mountain collection, in its Havana shade, was reserved for the residence’s entryways. This was a strategic choice: the facing stone marks the thresholds and naturally draws the eye toward the lobbies.
Rocky Mountain is a reconstituted stone with a dry-stone appearance, featuring a pronounced texture and a layered effect. The warm, nuanced Havana shade complements Mediterranean light and the tones of Provençal architecture.
The collection is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It is installed using adhesive (see our installation and care instructions) and includesmatching corner pieces and lintels for a clean finish around openings.

A Successful Integration into the Heart of the City
The project has blended seamlessly into the heart of Hyères, thanks in part to the stone cladding. The natural stone anchors the residence in its surroundings and gives it a durable and warm appearance.
André Rossello offers an enthusiastic assessment:
“The Rocky Mountain collection in its havana shade is a hit with everyone! PROMOGIM staff, city officials, and tenants alike are very satisfied with the results—both in terms of quality and aesthetics.”

Why Choose Stone Siding for the Facades of Multi-Family Housing?
This project illustrates the benefits of stone cladding for developers and architects:
- Character without the bulk: the look of natural stone, without the constraints of solid stone masonry.
- Targeted accent: When used on entrances, basements, or gables, it adds structure to the facade.
- Complements other materials well: when paired with stucco, siding, or concrete, the stone provides contrast.
- Enhanced perception: residents, elected officials, and building owners see it as a mark of quality.
